Diann was born January 2, 1960 in Lubbock, Texas. She started school in Bryan, Texas and  graduated from high school there in 1978. She graduated from Kilgore College in 1980.
Diann worked for a time in Kilgore before marrying Albert Madariaga, III in Kilgore in 1984. Alas, the marriage did not survive Albert's college years at East Texas State University at Commerce
Diann worked for a number of years for the U S  Tobacco Company in NE Texas. For  the past few years she has been employed as a Personal Assistant/Home Manager, first for a doctor in Dallas and, more recently, for the CFO of Dell in Austin.
